UV-C is an ultraviolet (UV) wavelength found between 260-285 nm. When used properly, this spectrum has been proven to be very effective against viruses and bacteria.

Our sterilizers are equipped with automatic shutdown mechanism in case the sterilizer box is opened during the sterilization process. Our sterilizers are also fully enclosed to prevent direct exposure.

UV-C radiation can cause severe burns (of the skin) and eye injuries (photokeratitis). Avoid direct skin exposure to UVC radiation and never look directly into a UVC light source, even briefly.

UV-C light is a known disinfectant for air, water, and nonporous surfaces. UV-C light has effectively been used for decades to reduce the spread of bacteria, such as tuberculosis. For this reason, UV-C lamps are often called "germicidal" lamps. UV-C radiation has been shown to destroy the outer protein coating of the SARS-Coronavirus, which is a different virus from the current SARS-CoV-2 virus. The destruction ultimately leads to inactivation of the virus. UV-C radiation may also be effective in inactivating the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which is the virus that causes the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

First unplug your device. Gently clean the interior with a dry cloth. Do not wash or soak the device in water. Do not use soap, detergents or other abrasive chemicals as these may permanently damage your device.

Compare an item (such as mold on a piece of bread) which has been sterilized with a similar unsterilized item and see the difference!

The bacterial growth on the item that has been sterilized by the device will be considerably smaller.

UVA rays have the longest wavelengths, followed by UVB, and UVC rays which have the shortest wavelengths. While UVA and UVB rays are transmitted through the atmosphere, all UVC and some UVB rays are absorbed by the Earth's ozone layer.
